Privacy Policy

How we handle your data when you use VideoCompress.

Last updated: 7/12/2026

1. Introduction

VideoCompress ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our video compression service.

2. No Data Collection

VideoCompress is a fully client-side application. All video processing happens entirely within your browser using WebAssembly technology. We do not:

  • Upload your videos to any server
  • Store your videos on our servers
  • Collect personal information
  • Track your browsing activity
  • Use cookies for tracking purposes

3. How It Works

When you compress a video, the file is processed locally in your browser using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your video never leaves your device. Once you close the page or download the compressed file, the temporary data is automatically cleaned up.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services for the sole purpose of delivering our service:

  • jsdelivr CDN — to serve the FFmpeg WebAssembly binary files required for video processing

The CDN may log standard request information (IP address, user agent, request timestamp) as part of normal operations. This data is not accessible to us and is governed by jsdelivr's own privacy policy.

5. Hosting

This website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server logs. Please refer to Vercel's Privacy Policy for more information about their data handling practices.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
